Look out Asheville, the 2nd Annual Night of the Ninja 5K race is coming May 24th, 2008 at 7:00 pm.
Prizes will be awarded for the oldest, youngest, and most creative ninja costume as well as age categories.

MANNA Food Bank will be the featured beneficiary of this year’s race.

Event Information-Pre & Post Party Events

 

The race will begin at 7:00 pm at Asheville Brewing Co., 77 Coxe Avenue Asheville, NC 28801. The course will end there as well. (Click HERE for course map.)

On Friday May 23, there will be a pre-race party at the Orange Peel sponsored by MPAC.
There will be live music by Buddy Carol & Jamie, Blue Plate Special, Locomotive Pie and the 96.5 House Band.

Tickets may be purchased on line at www.orangepeel.com and their ticket box for $25.00. Registered race participants may purchase ticket for $15.00. This is a tax deductible donation.

In addition to the live music, there will be a silent auction and door prizes. This is an event for ages 18 and up.

MPAC is a multi-purpose athletic complex being build in North Buncombe Co.

After the race be sure to stick around for the real fun to begin! Asheville Brewing throws the best 5K races in WNC! All runners 21 and up will receive two beer coupons for the night of the race. Pizza and other refreshments will also be provided for entrants. Awards will be given as soon as all the runners have completed the course.

This race is in the Asheville Track Club’s Grand Prix Series.
